Boudoir Vintage

Monica London, the creative mind behind Boudoir Vintage, discovered her passion for antique jewelry from a personal connection to handcrafted heirlooms and forgotten craftsmanship. Through her meticulously curated collection, Monica bridges generations by connecting these pieces with those who appreciate their inherent soul and story. Her expertise in vintage jewelry celebrates the timeless nature of beautiful design while honoring the skilled artisans whose work continues to enchant and inspire in the modern era.

What inspired you to start selling in the vintage space?

My journey in the vintage space began with my grandma's crochet blanket that was lost and found again. I regret not learning how to crochet from her when I had the chance. I wanted to honor the passing on of traditions and with the vision of preserving skilled craftsmanship that is slowly getting lost to time. That's why I decided to start this amazing journey of discovering and sharing historical treasures that could find new homes where they'll be appreciated.

Each vintage piece represents someone's craftsmanship and story, and connecting these items with people who value their history feels meaningful to me.

Please share more about your philosophy of “playing with time and bending eras.”

I believe that all antique pieces come with "a soul"—they carry the essence of their creation and the stories of hands that crafted them. These treasures travel from the past and become timeless in the present, with the hope of passing on to the next generation.

When I curate vintage items, I'm essentially creating bridges between different time periods. Each piece has survived decades, sometimes centuries, and continues to inspire and bring joy today. There's something magical about holding an object that's witnessed history unfold. Beautiful design transcends trends and fashion—it's something to cherish forever.

Where is the most exciting or unusual place you’ve sourced a piece from?

I’ve sourced gems in the middle of the countryside in the South of France!

Are there any trends you're loving right now? Any trends you’d like to make a comeback?

I don’t follow trends per se—I appreciate beautiful design and craftsmanship that can be found in all the different eras. Something different that stands out but can be worn in your own style.

Gold or Silver?

Definitely gold—mixed with some cool silver piece of course. I’m a fan of mixing metals!

The Met Gala is known for iconic jewelry choices—If you could style one attendee, who would it be and what piece would you source for them?

Florence Welch from Florence & The Machine. She is one of my clients, and I appreciate her unique beauty and the way she wears these timeless treasures. Every time she wears one of my pieces, she seems to be walking out from a Renaissance painting.
